Happy Friday, everyone!
Isn’t it just wild that we’re a third of the way through November and the time has changed? Christmas feels imminent, and we’re officially in prep mode.
We’ve concocted a plan for this year that will see us having everything planned by the end of November so that December can be more restful. Famous last words? Perhaps. We’ll see!
Today, I want to share with you a change I’m making to this newsletter that I am really excited about!
If you’ve been keeping up with these letters lately, you’ll know I’ve expanded my website a bit to accommodate my love for reading, writing, and words in general. You might also know that I’m currently training and working toward pursuing work as an editor in the future.
To that end, I’ve begun an additional newsletter that will be nested within this Substack!
A Happy Learner
If you subscribed to this newsletter to get short little letters from me and updates from my blog and TpT store… absolutely nothing is changing! Each week, I’ll continue sharing a few of my thoughts and brief updates on what has been going on. I may also curate some of my favorite tidbits from the educational world.
But, if you’re interested in a bit more on the educational side or a bit more on the reading and writing side, you’re in luck!
A Happy Reader
In this newsletter, I’m going to delve into the reading and writing world. If you’re fascinated by books, if you’re an aspiring writer, if you’re a children’s author… basically, if you love words and books, this is for you. This newsletter will go out once a month (at the end of the month) and will include thoughts on and links to all things bookish. But of course, it’s all from the perspective of someone in the world of education.
If you’re already subscribed to A Happy Learner and want to also get A Happy Reader, head to my profile and check out the page!
Store Updates
I’ve updated my winter-themed bingo-style game. I didn’t realize how different the winter version was from the fall version 🙈 So, I’ve streamlined the two to match up! That does mean that this version does not have a grammar section (for now), as I want to add a grammar section to both the fall and winter versions and ensure they’re similar.
I’ve also updated my following directions with synonyms and antonyms game. I’ve added the new “scenes” section to this unit. So, in addition to the 100 task cards, there’s now 3 scenes each with 10 following direction cards and a selection of objects to manipulate.
Blog Updates
I’ve written several new pieces for the blog over the last month or so, but I’ve got to be honest—I don’t remember when I last shared!
I’ve got something for teachers and something for readers and something for just folks trying to live a happier life, so if anything piques your interest, I hope you’ll check it out!
